It affords a panoramic view of the Catskill peaks to the west and north\, and the Rondout Reservoir from behind Denman Mountain. The newly established blue-blazed trail traverses both city and State Forest Preserve lands through rocky outcroppings and hemlock-laden forests. The 1.4 miles of new trail intersects with the existing trail\, leading up to the 60-foot tall Red Hill Fire Tower that was constructed in 1920. DESCRIPTION:One of the oldest road races\, the Arsenal City 5K Run is a flat\, fast\, out-and-back course in the city of Watervliet that runs past the Arsenal\, alongside the Hudson River and begins and ends near City Hall.  Good race to get a PR. SUMMARY:Buck 50 - USATF Grand Prix series

This 50 kilometer ultra course covers some of the most beautiful terrain in the southern Adirondacks on the shores of Lake George. Trek over four of Lake George’s tallest peaks on rugged\, remote trails\, climbing 9000 ft. \nWhere & when\nThe course will start at Camp Chingachgook on pilot knob rd. \nThe race will start at 6:30 am on Sunday\, October 5th \nRegistration\nDue to the challenging logistics of this event\, and the equally challenging aspects of the race itself\, we will be asking for prior ultra-trail experience for all participants. \nRelevant experience: \n\nRecent finishes at ultra distance trail races\nImpressive performances at sub ultra or non-trail races\n\n  \nCourse\nThe course will start at Camp Chingachgook and follow a dirt path to the Buck Mountain trail. The course will go over Buck Mountain and connect to the Sleeping Beauty trail via Shelving Rock/Dacy Clearing Rd. The course will then go over Sleeping Beauty and connect to the Black Mountain trail via Fishbrook Pond. The course then summits Black Mountain and drops to Black Mountain Point on the shore of Lake George. The course then climbs over the shoulder of Erebus Mountain and connects back to Dacy Clearing Rd. Other sections are on soft ground that feels like you are immersed in nature. This course is for everyone that loves to run or hike on trails with beautiful scenery the whole way!  #Malta5kTrailRace \nVolunteers from Roundabout Runners Club maintain these trails.  100% of proceeds from the event go to activities that support the club efforts to keep these trails in great shape! \nPrice increase after the Malta 5K Road Race on September 12th\, then again the last week before the event.

This will be an epic trail race on some of the best mountain single track in the area. \nSign up by October 18th to guarantee you get a shirt! \nWhere & When:\n\nStart and finish are at the Moreau Lake State Park beach in the park\nFirst wave start time 8am\nThere is no fee to enter the park. Parking available near the beach. \nThe Course:\nMoreau Half\nThe course runs roughly 14 miles and 2700 feet of gain over winding technical singletrack. This is not a half-marathon for beginners. Most runners should expect to double their road half-marathon time. The course will be fully marked and there will be one aid station at Bonita Lake about 6 miles into the race.
